Second Grade Classes visiting the Museum this fall and winter are exploring the concept the "things change over time". Through photography and art the students developed scrapbooks, stories and computer presentations comparing iceboxes and refrigerators, kerosene lamps and modern lighting, bicycles – our high wheel and bicycles they ride today. Some of their work is available on their class room web pages.
The Education Committee initiated a "Kids Page" on the Museum Website. Several projects are available for families. Puzzles, history pages to color and other activities will be added through out the year.
Fifteen groups participated in the Festival of Trees this year. The First Place winner in the Adult Category was The Webster Firemen Ladies Auxiliary and in the Youth Category, the Railroad Junction After School Program was the winner. Second Place winner in the Adult Category was the Pear Tree Lane Neighbors. The Webster Nursery School took second place in the Youth Category. Each of the First Place Winners received a $25.00.
A Town Wide House Tour is on our schedule in the fall. However, because this is a large event, we cannot undertake it without SOME EXTRA HANDS. If you are interested in a one time project, please call Sharon Pratt at 347-4202 for information. There will be a number of committees - advertising, publicity, program etc. forming very soon.
Coming again in June is another Barn Sale at the home of Jan and Andy Naujokas. Save your gently used household items, decorative pieces, books, collectables etc . (We are NOT able to take large furniture, electronics or clothing).

The museum hosted over 444 parents and children as they discovered clues of history put together by Lu Malczewski. Everyone got candy after they found the answers.
